After graduating in Veterinary Medicine in 2014 from the University of Bologna, with a thesis on the urinary proteome of giraffes, she enrolled in a PhD programme in Veterinary Sciences in 2017 at the same university, completing her studies in 2021 with a thesis titled: “Giraffe's urine: from urinalysis to proteomics and metabolomics.”
In 2019, she was awarded the Zebra Foundation for Veterinary Zoological Education Grant, and since April 2022, she has been a member of the IUCN SSC Giraffe and Okapi Specialist Group (GOSG).
Since November 1, 2022, she has been a research fellow at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences, where she works daily in the Clinical Pathology Service (CLINLAB) of the same department.
