Following her graduation in Veterinary Medicine in 2014 from the University of Bologna, with a thesis focused on the urinary proteome of giraffes, she subsequently enrolled in a doctoral program in Veterinary Sciences at the same institution in 2017. She completed her PhD in 2021 with a dissertation entitled: “Giraffe's urine: from urinalysis to proteomics and metabolomics.”
In 2019, she was honored with the Zebra Foundation for Veterinary Zoological Education Grant.
Since April 2022, she has been a member of the IUCN SSC Giraffe and Okapi Specialist Group (GOSG).
As of November 1, 2022, she has held the position of research fellow at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences.
