Born in Riola Sardo (OR) on September 23, 1956. Laurea with honors
in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Bologna (Feb., 1981).
After his military service got his Ph.D. in Nuclear
Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
(UIUC), IL, USA (Aug., 1987). Then Post-Doctoral fellow at the
Max-Planck-Institut für Plasma Physik (IPP) in Munich, researcher
at the Telespazio in Rome, senior researcher at CRS4 in Cagliari
and from November 1993 associate professor in the Engineering
School of the University of Bologna. From 2001 member of the
professors' board of the research doctorate in Energy, Nuclear and
Environmental Control
