Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna since 2021, he conducts his research in the area of the interaction of plasmas and particles with matter. Research interests are particularly directed at the use of cold plasmas for the treatment of materials to support processes such as decontamination, thin film production and liquid treatments. Part of the activities are also in the area of radiation engineering, specifically the use of particles for the production of radiopharmaceuticals.

Member of the Cost Action on the therapeutic use of plasmas, member of the managment committee for Italy and leader of the working group on the antimicrobial effects of plasmas.
