PhD in Accounting from the Department of Business Sciences, University of Bologna, she is part of the GIOCA Research Group in the field of management and innovation of cultural and artistic organisations. Her doctoral thesis Bridging the Global-Local Divide: Navigating Cultural Sustainability in Urban Heritage Management investigated the role of local public policies in the implementation of international directives in the management of urban UNESCO sites, specifically in Venice and Amsterdam.
She worked as a policy analyst for the European Capital of Culture 2025 Chemnitz on the project “40 recommendations from 40 years of European Capitals of Culture”, which led to the publication of the policy paper “40 recommendations from 40 years of ECoCs: Insights from the Capitals from 2034 onwards”.
Previously, she collaborated on the research project Uncharted: Understanding, Capturing and Fostering the Societal Value of Culture as a member of the GIOCA research group.
