I am a fixed-term research assistant (post-doc) at Alma AI - Alma Mater Research Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence. I still actively collaborate with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DISI) of the Alma Mater Studiorum-Università di Bologna, for both research and teaching activities.
After several years of professional experience in major IT companies, in 2017 I got a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering.
As a researcher, I am working on distributed intelligent systems, computational logic and logic programming, agents, software engineering, multi-paradigm languages, and artificial intelligence & law.
In particular, my research considers issues of the engineering of intelligent systems, exploring the role of symbolic intelligence and logic models and technologies in contex-aware IoT pervasive systems.
More recently I have turned my attention to the legal application of AI, including the integration of symbolic and sub-symbolic techniques for eXplainable AI.
