Main lines of activities:
1 Firm as complex system of resources, capabilities and
competences. Variety of organisational designs. Firm's performance
is thus function of the capacity to develop
idiosyncratic elements, that mould differences in adaptation
to change.
2 Firm as element of larger agglomerations (Industrial Districts).
The analysis focuses on the forces that through spatial
agglomeration of small and medium enterprises engender local
growth. Particular attention is devoted to the process of
production fragmentation.
3 Models of technological diffusion, focusing in particular on
diffusion regimes characterised by different models of
appropriations (e.g. proprietary vs opens source).
