Reporting directly to the CEO, leading the Project Management Office (PMO) and Engineering Department, with overall responsibility for the execution and performance of the Company's project portfolio across conventional diving, subsea construction & installation, IRM, ROV operations, technical R&D and tender support.

Overseeing the strategic, technical, operational and financial performance of projects, acting as Project Sponsor and management focal point between project teams, corporate functions and Executive Management.

Leading a multidisciplinary organization of approximately 25 Project Managers, Project Engineers and Field Engineers, supported by external specialists, with direct involvement in resource planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and professional development.

Supporting the tender and business development process through project execution strategy, technical and operational feasibility, resource and asset planning, risk assessment and alignment of proposed solutions with the Company's capabilities and financial objectives.

Since joining RANA in 2021, actively contributed to the Company's organizational and business growth, during which the workforce expanded from approximately 30 to 120 employees and revenues increased from €21.8m to €93.2m.

Cassiopea 21 Project BID as “Deputy Installation Engineering Manager”

Installation engineering support at every project phase (both for FEEDs/tenders and after project award), feasibility studies, vessel suitability evaluation for projects, installation method statements, project schedules, MDR issuing and man-hours definition etc. Sub-contractor interface and management. TBE and PR/PO issuing. Managing of project resources as team leader (i.e. typically 10/15 resources from all disciplines. Number of resources depends on project dimension).

SURF Oil&Gas projects both in shallow and deep-water including: laying activities (both for rigid and flexible products), trenching activities, heavy lifts, T&I, etc.

Support to operative personnel both from office and on site (both during fabrication/construction and installation phases).

Main project campaigns:

2019-ongoing at resignation - "Absheron" project, Caspian Sea (Clients: SOCAR and TOTAL)

- 34km of 12" pipeline (1 section Pipe in pipe and 1 section wet insulated) from 13m WD to 470m WD s-laid onto 13 pre-installed bending restrictors;

- 34km of Umbilical with PTF pull-in;

- crossing preparation both for pipeline and umbilical;

- Main Subsea structures: SDU, UTA, FLET, HFL, EFL, jumper, production riser and spools;

- items transportation and sea-fastening;

- umbilical trenching

- FC&G and hydrotesting of both pipeline and umbilical.

Issuing of reports and procedures in line with project docs at every stage (typically FO and Power Cable Systems during project execution phase).

Technical interface and point of contact with clients for doc preparation.

Site visits and meetings attending. Managing of subcontractors and deal with other disciplines.

Critical evaluation of technical and contractual info. Analysis of costumer technical challenges.

Development of technical design solutions against clients SOW. Development of technical procedures associated with cables installation in offshore marine environment.

Ensure that eng. and tech. solutions comply with costs/quality/safety.

Typical eng. docs treated: Cable burial assessments (CBRA), route engineering, burial assessment study (BAS), survey works, cable installation works, pre-sweeping/dredging works, mattresses installation, rock dumping, trenching works, pull-in at landfall and at offshore substations, etc.

Preparations of RAMS, inspection task plans, DPR, HAZID, HAZOP, HSE and quality docs, construction drawings, calculations, etc.

Main project campaigns:

2018-ongoing at resignation - "IFA2" project, North Sea (Clients: National Grid NSN Link Ltd and RTE)

- HVDC section between France (Merville) and UK (Daedalus) – approx. 204km route length (boundled cable composed by nr. 2 DC cables and nr. 1 FOC);

- HVAC section between UK (Daedalus) and UK (Chilling) – approx. 5.2km route length (nr. 6 cables to be laid in separate manner, nr. 3 cables each circuit).

- HDD (conduit) @ Chilling;

- Crossing prep. activities;

- Route clearance activities (i.e. boulders, OOS cables, etc.);

- Post lay burial activities.

2018-ongoing at resignation - "NSL" project, North Sea (National Grid NSN Link Ltd and Statnett SF).

North Sea Link is a major electricity transmission project composed as follows:

- laying of nr. 2 x 714km HVDC submarine cables between Kvilldal (Norway) to Blyth (UK), planned to be in operation by Sept 2021;

- post lay trenching activities (mostly jetty);

- Approaches at landfall, AoB.

Main activities carried-out at office:

FEED/MTOs/P&ID doc revision/issue. Manage project engineering team during preparation of docs both for tender and project purposes. Keep contacts with subcontractors and check of issued documents (if any). Direct reporting to company Eng. Manager and/or company Inst. Manager.

Main activities carried-out on field/yard:

Vessels mob. coordination for project purposes (i.e.: pipeline/umbilical/FOC laying, jackets/decks/spools/risers installation, generic diving activities, hook-up activities, plant and piping modification on existing production platforms, heavy liftings, drilling, grouting etc.). Full cooperation and technical support to vessel Superintendent as 2nd in charge during inst. campaigns. Coordination and training for jr. field engineers. Draft of all engineering reports regarding projects and As-Built documentation.

2018 - " OCTP-shore approach phase" project, Ghana (Client: SRI EMAS / ENI Ghana, MWS: DNV):

  • 26” x 3.5 Km Sealine laying (including recovery of existing line, laying till tie-in location, 0.7km of shore pull and final above water tie-in connection).

    2017/2018 - " SSAGS Pipeline Laying " project, Nigeria (Client: SHELL/SAIDEL/MPL, MWS: DNV):

  • 16” x 34 Km Sealine laying (offshore section approx. 18.5km, including 3.0km of pull-in) connecting Tunu Central Processing Facility (CPF) in Ekeremou to EA Riser Platform offshore.

    Vessel: DLV Seminole.

    2017 - "OMBRINA MARE 2 decommissioning" project, Italy (Client: Rockhopper, MWS: RINA):

  • Subsea cutting (diamond wire cutting machine) of jacket bracings;
  • Removal and disposal of 180 tons jacket structure.

    Vessel: DLV Seminole.

    2017 - "EL-HAMRA Terminal" project, Egypt (Client: PMW/WEPCO, MWS: BV):

  • 36” x 8.50 Km Sealine laying connecting El-Hamra facility with new SPM to be installed off-shore;
  • SPM (calm buoy) installation, including related anchor legs, mooring hawser and floating hoses;
  • Subsea PLEM installation;
  • Expansion loop and flexible risers installation;
  • Pre-commissioning and hydrotest.

    Vessel: DLV Seminole.

    2016 - "NENE’" project, Congo (Client: ENI, MWS: LOC):

  • Installation of two fixed platforms (jackets+decks), named WHP3 and WHP4 (WD=approx. 28m LAT);
  • 12” x 53.47 Km Export Sealine WHP4 - Kitina;
  • 12” x 1.39 Km Intrafield Sealine WHP4 - AEP;
  • 12”+2” (piggy-back) x 2.03 Km Intrafield Sealine WHP3 - WHP4;
  • 12’’ x 20.02 Km Pipeline WHP4 – LITCHENDJILI;
  • Expansion loops and risers installation;
  • Pre-commissioning activities (FC&G and hydrotest).

    2016 - "BOURI field" project, Libya (Client:Mellitah Oil&Gas):

    Reconfiguration of DP3 well B3-26 production flexible flowline: recovery and replacement of 4" flowline damaged section.

    2015 - "XANAB" project, Mexico Gulf (Client: PEMEX, MWS: LOC):

  • 36’’ stabilized oil export pipeline, length: 25km;
  • Horizontal Directional Drilling (for 36" pipeline, length approx. 0.8 km);
  • Expansion loops and riser installation;
  • Tie-in operation (connection between HDD and existing 36’’ pipeline).

    2015 - "MARLIN DEVELOPMENT" project, Ivory Coast (Client: FOXTROT INTERNATIONAL, MWS: LOC):

  • Conductor piles installation;
  • 14’’ dry gas pipeline, length: 17.697km;
  • 6’’ stabilized oil export pipeline, length: 17.697km;
  • 14’’ wet gas flowline, length: 7.642km;
