Raffaele Manco is a PhD candidate in Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures (41st cycle, DESE curriculum – Doctorat d'études supérieures européennes), under the supervision of Prof. Bruna Conconi (supervisor) and Prof. Michele Morselli (co-supervisor).
His main research interests include: the relationship between literature and History; exoticism and Orientalism; literary rewriting; the role of evil in nineteenth- and twentieth-century European literature; theatre and its influence on the novel of the Belle Époque; and the legacy of Gothic and melodrama in early twentieth-century literature.
