Short Bio: Pietro Di Lena received his Mater Degree (summa cum
laude) in Computer Science in 2003, from the University of Bologna.
He received his PhD degree in Computer Science from the same
University in 2007. After his PhD, he worked as a post-doc at the
Department of Computer Science, University of Bologna (2007-2010)
and at the Institute for Genomics and Bioinformatics,
University of California, Irvine (2011-2012). From September
2012 he is Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer
Science and Engineering at the University of Bologna. His research
interests include: discrete dynamical systems, protein
structure prediction and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data
analysis.
