Patrizia Hrelia

MS in Medicinal Chemistry, Ph. D. in Cell Biology. Visiting Assistant Professor, Adjunct Associate Professor, then Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston TX USA. She is currently Professor of Toxicology. She was Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Director of the Postgraduate School in Toxicology (University of Bologna).  She had published more than 220 papers in peer reviewed journals and book chapters. The task is to identify new preventive strategies for the reduction of risk factors associated to chronic degenerative diseases. Her name is associated with original and significant contributions at developing biomarker analysis to improve assessment of human early biological response, susceptibility and risk. The research philosophy is a multidisciplinary approach to problems of preventive and translational medicine. She was President of the Italian Society of Toxicology. She is an Eurotox Registered Toxicologist.
