Pasquale Fameli (1986) is an associate professor in the Department of Arts at the University of Bologna, where he teaches Phenomenology of Contemporary Art. He is editor-in-chief of the scientific journal “piano b. Arti e culture visive” (piano b. Arts and Visual Cultures), coordinator of the research group Il fare pensato. Storia dell'arte, critica, teoria e P.I. del PRIN 2022 PNRR Art Sound Environment (Thoughtful Doing: Art History, Criticism, Theory and P.I. of PRIN 2022 PNRR Art Sound Environment). He is also a member of Nuova AICA Italia and contributes to magazines such as “Juliet” and “Titolo” with in-depth articles on Italian and international artists of the late 20th century. He has curated numerous exhibitions at public and private institutions such as CAOS in Terni, Pinacoteca Comunale in Città di Castello, Museo d'arte Lercaro in Bologna and Fondazione Sabe per l'arte in Ravenna, where he is also artistic director. His research interests focus on the artistic practices of the 1960s and 1970s, late 20th-century art in Bologna, verbal-visual experiences and the relationship between art and new media.
