MOST RECENT RESEARCH

2017-2020: "Olkiluoto project": Definition of the multiscalar spatial and temporal relationships between brittle and ductile deformation within the faults of the Olkiluoto (high-level nuclear waste disposal) site.

2014-2016: P.N.R.A. project “Tectonic inheritance in northern Victoria Land: the role of the Paleozoic discontinuities in the recent geodynamics and influence in the set up of the Antarctic glaciation” (PI: Prof. G. Capponi – UniGenova). This project is funded by the Italian MIUR and included in a national programme on field-based Antarctic research.

2008-2012 PRIN: “Shape, timing and petrogenetic relationships between skarn deposits and tabular intrusions: the Campiglia Marittima and Eastern Elba Island examples” (PI Prof. S. Rocchi - UniPisa)

2007-2011: leader of UNESCO-IGCP project No. 540 ”Gold-bearing hydrothermal fluids of orogenic deposits” (co-leaders: J.R. Ridley from Uni-Colorado at Littleton; V.Y. Prokofiev from Russian Academy of Sciences at Moskow)

TEACHING ACTIVITY

2018-2023: setup and coordination of the Master Degree program called: Raw Material Exploration and Sustainability (RAMES). This is an EU-funded Master Degree, which sterted in the Academic Year 2019-2020 and that is organized by Uni-Bologna (BiGeA Dept) and Uni-Trondheim (Dept. of Geology and Petroleum). This new degree was proposed under the guidelines of the European Institute of Technology - Raw Material Academy (https://eitrawmaterials.eu/eit-rm-academy/)

2015-2016: Risorse e Processi Idrotermali (co-teacher: 5th year students)

2013: Goldschmidt conference, co-convener of session 20h “Analytical Frontiers in High Spatially Resolved Analysis Using Mass Spectrometric and Related Techniques” together with D. Günther (ETH Zurich) and A. Kolezar (Uni-Texas at Austin)

2013-2014: Volume Editor of the Geological Society of London Special Publication 402 titled: “Gold-transporting fluids in the Earth's crust”. This volume includes a selection of the best results of the UNESCO-IGCP project no. 540

2011: Member of the Editorial Board of the 11th SGA Biennial Meeting “Let's Talk Ore Deposits” (26th-29th September 2011, Antofagasta, Chile) and co-convener of session “Au-transporting fluids in the earth crust”
