Paolo Cagnoli

Paolo Cagnoli is a PNIEC commissioner and was a manager of the "Development Quality" Division at the Ministry of the Environment. In this role he deals with the environmental assessment of energy systems; he also dealt with various other subjects: protection from noise pollution, electromagnetic fields, risks due to ionizing radiation, coordination and control of the dangers of major accidents (Seveso Directive), national position on the subject of Best Available Techniques (BAT) and issue of AIAs under state competence. Engineer, landscape architect, urban planner, lecturer in various university courses in the fields of energy and environmental engineering, he has accumulated thirty years of experience both as an evaluator and as an expert environmental analyst.
