Ph.D. in "Cultural Heritage Studies" at the Department of Cultural Heritage, the University of Bologna with a project on the experimentation of Semantic Web technologies and tools for the curation of music archives.
A technician at the ADLAB laboratory and Technical Manager of the department's Digital Library.

Education
Master's degree in "Information Technology Methodologies for the Humanities" from the University of Florence.
Degree in "DAMS" from the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna.


Research activities
Since 2004 he has participated in several digital cataloguing projects about the performing arts such as "RADAMES - Repertorization and Documentation of Materials about the Performing Arts" (2004) and "Cataloguing of Theatre Costumes" (2006) promoted by the Department of Music and Performing Arts of the University of Bologna (2004); "Petrarca in Musica" coordinated by the University of Siena (2006); "Corago - Repertory and Archive of Italian Melodrama Librettos" (2009-present).

In 2021 he was Digital Humanities Fellow at I Tatti - The Harvard University Center for Italian Reinassance Studies with the project: RePIM in LOD The Repertoire of Italian Poetry in Music as Linked Open Dataset.
He is member of the scientific committee of the /DH.arc - The Digital Humanities Advanced Research Centre.

He is member of the scientific committee of the CRICC - The Research Center for the Cultural and Creative Industries of the University of Bologna.

He is member of the editorial team of the journal Umanistica Digitale.

He curated the digital editions of:

  • Corago, Repertoire and archive of librettos of Italian melodrama from 1600 to 1900
  • RePIM, Repertoire of Italian Poetry in Music 1500-1600
