Short Bio

Since November 2024, I have been a PhD student in Sociology and Social Research. My research area includes the deconstruction of institutional and systemic racism towards racialised people - in particular Afro-descendants - the study of social movements, political & cultural participation of Afro-descendants (in Italy and Europe), with a specific look at the "before & after" the Black Lives Matter 2020 protests.

I graduated in International Relations at the University of Macerata with a thesis in International Human Rights. The main theme dealt with the protection of migrants' fundamental rights rescued in the Mediterranean Sea. I am a freelance writer for various newspapers on topics such as migration and systemic racism. I collaborate with CILD (Italian Coalition for Civil Liberties and Rights) as a project assistant in the areas of migration and human rights.
