Short Bio

Nike Francesca Del Quercio holds a BA in Humanities (2012) and a MA in Modern Philology (2015) from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. Her MA thesis “Innovation in contemporary Italian" focuses on new phenomena in contemporary Italian and their perception by the speakers. She studies Italian Literature as an exchange student at Freie Universität in Berlin (2014). She taught the Italian Language in France (2016-2017) and Italian Literature, Latin Language and Literature, and History in Florence (2019-2022). She is doing a Ph.D. at Università di Bologna in Literary and Philological Cultures. Her research aims to explain the importance of photoromance in the Italian literacy process in the post-fascist era, through the study of the language of this medium. She is also interested in the new phenomena in contemporary Italian and the speakers' perceptions.
