Nicolò Maltoni is a PhD student at the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna with a research project focused on new perspectives in geo-cognitive cartography, applied to the theme of Atlases of the historical and architectural heritage of Italian cities.

Nicolò Maltoni is also a teaching tutor at the University of Bologna and deals with the analysis and representation of the contemporary landscape through a multimedia language that combines cartography, photography, graphics, and drawing. In this field, he actively collaborates with research groups, institutions, and public administrations.

Since 2023 he is a member of the inter-university network of researchers "Laboratorio del cammino", that develops teaching and research projects aimed at exploring the methodological possibilities of walking in urban planning and in the design disciplines.
