Associate professor at the University of Bologna since 2019, his research interests principally regard biomechanics, in particular knee and ankle modelling, experimental motion analysis, prosthesis and orthosis design. He works also on theory of mechanisms and robotic systems, with application to automated systems and design of specific devices for industrial and experimental purposes. In all these sectors, he collaborates with several international and italian Research Insitutes, in particular with the Movement Analysis Laboratory at Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli (Bologna), and with private Companies. He authored several publications and patents. He received awards for his research activity.
