Short Bio

After graduating from Liceo classico Virgilio in Mantua (2013), he studied at the University of Padua: first in 2016 he obtained a bachelor in Classics writing the dissertation "The Ultima visio Danielis in the unpublished Latin translation of Ubertino Posculo (1454) from the ms. Padova, Biblioteca del seminario, 125 "; then in 2019 the master's degree in Historical Sciences, medieval curriculum, with a dissertation entitled "The revolt of San Tito in Crete (1363-1367) in the light of the Memoriali in Duke of Candia archives in Venice" under the supervision of professors Niccolò Zorzi and Alfredo Viggiano.

He attended the archivistics school of Venice State Archives in 2019-2021 period.

He is now a PhD student in Cultural and Environmental Heritage (37th cycle) at the University of Bologna and he is carrying out a research project on the Venetian diplomat Gian Giacomo Caroldo (1480ca - 1539) and the chronicle he composed. The purpose is to continue studying the medieval eastern Mediterranean, the Venetian penetration in the Aegean and the relations between Venice and Eastern Roman Empire in the light of narrative and documentary sources.
