Nico Lauridsen

Nico Lauridsen is a Ph.D. student from the University of Bologna. His main research is on the role of data in financial growth and developing embedded finance solutions in the banking and payment industry. Before starting his academic career, he had the opportunity to work for servers in fintech startups and a startup studio called Kitzanos, where he continue to collaborate. His experience in Fintech began in Sardex as the head of operations and academic R&D in collaboration with LSE and UCL. During this period, he had the opportunity to work with different advisors to develop a proprietary compliance management system under PSD2.
Recently he has been involved in two fintech projects Bflows and Civica. The first one is a liquidity management system for simultaneous invoice reconciliation based on AI and network analysis developed in collaboration with NTT DATA. The second one is a social coin design to incentive social actions on local base communities through a digital platform.
