Academic career

  •  2020 - Present: He is currently enrolled in PhD programme (Electronics, Telecommunications, and Information Technologies) – 36th Cycle. He is working on user detection and channel estimation using deep learning for massive Internet of Things (mIoT) in 6G systems.

  • 2017-2018: He graduated from the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK with a Master of Science in Advanced Electronic Systems Engineering with Distinction. In his master's thesis, he worked on the classification of the cancer cells, mainly found in ovaries, through the digital images of the cells under a microscope using a deep learning approach.

  • 2012-2016: He graduated from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan with cum-laude. In his bachelor's thesis, he worked on the design and implementation of a wireless sensor and actuator network for monitoring and control of building utilities. The project won two Engineering Project Exhibition at the National Level.

  •  2021 - Present: Tutor for the course "Elettronica dei Sistemi Digitali".

    He was working as a full-time faculty member at the School of Computing at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan

Other Activities

  •  2021 - Present: He collaborate on the project “Massive Multiple Access for 6G” funded by Huawei Technologies through the Huawei-WiLab Wireless Joint Innovation Center.

  • September 2017 – September 2018: He mentored Undergraduate Engineering students at the University of Kent, UK.

  • June 2016 – July 2017: He worked closely with the research group ConSenSys research group in Lahore, Pakistan and achieved two research publications in reputed Journals.

  • February 2018 – September 2018: He served as a student ambassador at the University of Kent, UK. His role on the Unibuddy Scheme was to share his experience at the University of Kent to the prospective students through blogs and chat.

  • September 2017 – September 2018: He served as a course representative at the University of Kent, UK. He communicated all academic-related problems to the Student Support Manager, University of Kent. He contributed towards changes in the lab manual scripts to make them more understandable.

  • September 2015 – May 2016: He worked as a Media Head & Promotion at IEEE Robotics & Automation (RAS) Society NUCES Lahore Chapter & IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) Society NUCES Lahore Chapter.

  • He represented School of Engineering, University of Kent at the Big Bang Fair South East. This event celebrates and raises the profile of young people’s achievements in science and engineering.

  • He undertook the Global Skills Awards programme which spread awareness of global issues and current affairs.
