Moreno Marzolla graduated in Computer Science from the
Università "Ca' Foscari" di Venezia (Italy) in 1998, and got
a PhD in Computer Science from the same University in 2004. From
1998 to 2001 he was a software engineer at the Italian National
Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN). From 2004 to 2005 he was a
post-doc researcher at the Università "Ca' Foscari" di
Venezia supported by the italian FIRB project "Performance
Evaluation of Complex Systems: Techniques, Methodologies and
Tools". From 2005 to 2009 he was again with INFN supported by the
EU-funded projects EGEE, OMII-Europe and EGEE-3. He served as
co-chair the Production Grids Infrastructure (PGI) Working Group at
the Open Grid Forum. In 2009 he joined the department of
Computer Science and Engineering of the University of Bologna where he is
associate professor since 2015. His research interests include systems
performance modeling, parallel algorithms, and complex systems
analysis.
