Research Interests

Her research interests include agri-environmental policies, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services, agricultural sustainability, and the economic evaluation of environmental policies. Her work also focuses on bioeconomy, food security, resilience to socioeconomic and environmental shocks, and the effectiveness of incentive mechanisms in agricultural and environmental policy.

Education

She holds a Master's degree in Bioeconomy, a Master's degree in Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility, a Second-Level University Master's degree in International Cooperation and Development, and a Bachelor's degree in Multilingual Business and International Relations.

Academic Career

Since 2020, she has been a Research Fellow at the University of Bologna, where she has contributed to the European Horizon 2020 projects LIFT and SHOWCASE, as well as economic analyses supporting the implementation of the Water Framework Directive in the Po River Basin District.

Previously, she conducted research at the Human Development, Capability and Poverty International Research Centre (HDCP-IRC) at IUSS Pavia, worked with the World Food Programme (WFP), and undertook research visits at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), focusing on human development, food security, climate resilience, and resilience capacity assessment.

Her research on resilience to food insecurity, published in the Journal of Agricultural Economics, received the Agricultural Economics Society Prize Essay Award (2020) and the AIEAA Antonio Cioffi Award (2022). In 2025, she also received the Best Poster Award at the European Bioeconomy Scientific Forum.
