Monica Chiogna graduated from the University of Bologna in 1987 and obtained her PhD from the University of Padua in 1993.
She has been Researcher in Statistics at the University of Padua, Italy, from 1995 until 2001, Associate Professor from 2001 until 2015 and Full Professor from 2015 until 2018. She has previously held an academic position at the University of Glasgow (Scotland).
Her principal areas of research are computational statistics and biostatistics.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and of the Italian Statistical Society.
