Education

Born in Finland, in 2007 she graduated from the University of Jyväskylä with a Kasvatustieteen maisteri degree (Master’s Degree in Education), qualifying her to teach at primary school level. Her degree programme also included basic studies in Finnish language and literature.

During the 2003/2004 academic year, she participated in the Erasmus programme at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature of the University of Bologna.

Alongside her degree programme, she further pursued her studies in Italian at the University of Jyväskylä, completing additional basic studies (perusopinnot) and intermediate studies (aineopinnot) in Italian language.

Teaching Experience

During her university studies, between 2004 and 2006, she worked as a substitute teacher at several primary schools in Jyväskylä.

In 2009, the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research officially recognised her degree and teaching qualification, authorising her to teach at primary school level in Italy. From 2009 to 2012, she worked as a primary school teacher at several schools in the Province of Rimini.

Other Professional Experience

She has also gained professional experience in translation and interpreting in both Finland and Italy.

Academic Career

Since 2022, she has been a Teaching Tutor in Finnish Language and Linguistics at the University of Bologna.
