Milana Zakarieva is a teaching tutor at the Master’s Degree Programme in Visual Arts at the Department of the Arts, University of Bologna. In 2024 she obtained a Master’s Degree in Visual Arts (Visual Studies) from the University of Bologna with the thesis Art and Technology in Flux: Korean Futurism in the Present and Beyond. In 2023 she conducted research in Seoul at the Korea National University of Arts, carrying out interviews and research on the relationship between contemporary art and technology in South Korea.
She contributes to the organization of AVEC – Arts, Visuality and Electronic Culture, an interdisciplinary workshop of the Department of the Arts, and collaborates with Asia Institute in organizing cultural and academic events promoting Asian cultures.
