Micol Meghnagi

Micol Meghnagi works on memory politics and the social representations of the Holocaust and colonialism in Italy, with particular attention to the intersections between Holocaust Studies and postcolonial studies. Her current research project examines how museums and public spaces in Italy construct, erase, and reconfigure colonial memory, and how these processes shape social representations and contemporary racism. She was previously a Research Fellow at the Centre for War Studies, University College Dublin, where she researched the construction of public memory of the Holocaust and the social representation of fascist collaborationism in Italy. She holds an MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Among her publications is In the Shadow of the Holocaust: Decolonization and the Politics of Memory.
