Micol Meghnagi’s research focuses on the public memory of the Holocaust, the Nakba, and Italian colonialism. Her current project examines how museums and public spaces in Italy produce, occlude, and reframe colonial memory, and how these practices shape social representations and contemporary racialization. She develops shared analytical instruments, a controlled lexicon, an operational index, and descriptive criteria, for cultural institutions and municipal administrations, mapping trajectories of change and sites of resistance.
Previously, she was a Research Fellow at University College Dublin’s Centre for War Studies, where she conducted research on Holocaust public memory and the social representation of fascist collaboration in Italy.
