Michele Marmo

He earned his degree in Semiotics in 2023 from the University of Bologna, defending a thesis entitled Talking about Books: Reviews, Introductions, Prefaces, Postfaces, and Bibliographical Notes Published by Umberto Eco between 1953 and 1968. In 2024, he was awarded a research fellowship titled Identification and Cataloguing of Umberto Eco’s Printed Contributions from 1953 to 1972. Since 2025, he has been a PhD candidate in Cultural Heritage in the Digital Ecosystem at the Department of Classical Philology and Italian Studies (FICLIT), University of Bologna. His research interests focus on Umberto Eco’s writings, with particular attention to his journalistic and publicistic output.
