MA in European Studies (Bologna), PhD at the Scuola Superiore di Studi Storici under the supervision of Angelo Panebianco and the direction of Luciano Canfora. He has been a visiting fellow at the universities of London (LSE), Cambridge, Queensland, Brown University, Dickinson College, and Trento. His research focuses on authors and themes surrounding Martin Wight, of whom he has published three manuscripts. He has worked with the WHO (Copenhagen) and at the San Raffaele University (Milan) and LUISS (Rome). He is a Life Member of Clare Hall College (Cambridge) and director of the CRRI (San Marino). He serves on the editorial board of Rivista di politica and of the series Critica storica (Il Mulino). He has published with Cambridge and Oxford UP, Tirant Lo Blanch, Palgrave Macmillan, and Bloomsbury, among others, and in journals such as History of European Ideas, Global Change, International Politics. He won the 2019 ISA Topic Award from the Institute for Advanced Studies. He exhibits a permanent photo show in the Gaddi Pavilion (Forlì) and a public sculpture in the Chapel of Sant’Anna (San Marino). Ambassador in Sarajevo, he holds a Taekwondo 6th dan black belt.
