Academic discipline: SPS/02 History of Political Thought

Short Bio

He was a PhD scholarship holder at the Graduate School of Historical Studies directed by Luciano Canfora. He has held visiting fellowships at the University of London (LSE), Cambridge, Queensland, Brown University, and at the Bruno Kessler Foundation. He lectured in Montréal and Milan. A Life Member of Clare Hall College, Cambridge, he is Fellow of the Department of History in San Marino. Director of the Research Centre for International Relations, he collaborates with the Institute of the Encyclopedia Treccani and the editorial board of the Rivista di politica. He has published on international thought, peace and war, legitimacy, geopolitics, and diplomacy. An interpreter of Martin Wight’s political thought, within the whole set of issues and authors in which it is contextualized, he has published Martin Wight on Fortune and Irony in Politics in the Palgrave Macmillan History of International Thought Series and two previously unpublished essays by Wight. He won the Institute of Advanced Studies 2020 prize on 'The false', and he holds a standing photo-exhibition at the Gaddi Pavillion in Forlì. An  ambassador in Sarajevo, he is 6th dan Taekwondo black belt.
