Michelangelo Bin

Since October 2025, he has been Associate Professor at the Dept of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering (DEI) at the University of Bologna.

He received the Ph.D. in Control Theory from the University of Bologna in 2019. He was Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Bologna (2018-2019), Research Associate at Imperial College London (2019-2022), and Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna (2022-2025). He was a visting scholar at the École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris (2015) and the University of California, Santa Barbara (2017-2018). Since September 2020, he has served as Associate Editor for the journal Systems & Control Letters.

His research interests include systems theory, control theory, nonlinear and adaptive systems, and neuromorphic computing.
