MAURO SARTI, professional journalist

Born in Bologna on September 12 1962

Scientific professional training:

Degree in Political Science in 1995-1996 at the Bologna University (Italy) – address in sociology – thesis about unease and information.

Since September 1992, after having passed the state examination, he is a member of the National Association of Journalists as professional. Since '89 he is registered as a contributor.

From June 2007 to May 2010 he is a regional counselor at the Association ofJournalists of Emilia Romagna.

Since September 2008, he is part of the board of directors of Ilaria Alpi, Riccione that promotes the homonymous TV journalism prize.

Professional position

He is an associate, together with Carla Abbattista, of “Agenda snc” agency of communication and editorial services for daily newspapers, periodicals, web-tv and on line agencies.

He is an adjunct professor of “Journalistic communication” in the course of Communication Science. Besides the activity of journalist he is also a teacher and a professional counselor.

Teaching Activities

2001/ 2014 – He holds an official contract to teach “Journalistic Communication”, degree in Communication Science at the Faculty of Humanities, Bologna University (3 years degree). Follow the students who are still on the 5 years degree program for Theory and techniques of the journalistic language. From 2001 to 2005 he held a contract for the official teaching course “Theories and techniques of journalistic language”, Degree in Communication Science, Faculty of Humanities, University of Bologna. He also follows the students of the course of journalistic communication (new system).

2014 - Promotes in collaboration with the Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences, coordinator Prof. Giovanna Cosenza, the series of meetings "Five Lessons of journalism" with contributions from: Marco Imarisio, Marco Damilano, Peter Gomez, Amedeo Ricucci and Milena Gabanelli.

2014 - He holds an official  lecturer in the Master in Communication at the University of San Marino with a lecture titled "The press office 2.0, journalism and its rules."

2014 - Presents at the library Trame in Bologna Umberto Lisiero book's "News (paper) Revolution" (Fausto Lupetti Editore, 2013).

2014 - Presents at the library Trame in Bologna Jama Musse Jama's book "Citizenship is participation" (Biancoevolta editions).

2013 - Acts as a speaker at Bologna within the initiative "Open doors", the meeting titled "What new and creative ways of working are today conceivable and possible."

1998/1999– He teaches at the course for operators of the change/information about mental health, within the European project Crisalide, promoted by Minguzzi Institution of the Province of Bologna. He participates to the elaboration of feasibility for the creation of a documentation section about mental illness within the same project.

1993/1999– He is tutor for journalism training Institute (Ifg) of Bologna. Particularly he organizes meetings and four journalistic inquiries about social news (handicap, drug, minors, prostitution) and voluntary work. During '97 organizes a week of work with the Ifg students about the news in Bologna. Again for Ifg, in 1994, he is in charge for "la Stefani/Extra" immigration agency, monthly magazine addressed to the media of Emilia- Romagna.

Professional Activities

2000/2014 – He plans the journalistic activities and organizes the press office work of the agency Agenda. During 2011 Agenda starts a new collaboration with Repubblica-Tv for the realization of original videos for the web and for digital programming of the group Repubblica-l'Espresso.

2013-2014 - Agenda starts a new collaboration with LA7 broadcasting televisiona for the realization of original videos for the talk show "L'aria che che tira".

2010/2014– He realizes the restyling of the monthly magazine of homeless people in Bologna “Piazza Grande” with the agency Agenda . At the same time join the editorial board of the magazine. (www.piazzagrande.it)

2009/2011– He takes care of the pages about Bologna of the free press daily newspaper Metro, with the agency Agenda.

2007/2014 – He is the journalistic director (news area) of the web site about disability www.superabile.it, promoted by Inail.

2007/2011– Until May 2011 he has been vice director of the monthly magazine of SPI-CGIL Emilia-Romagna “Argentovivo”. The magazine closed.

2008– On behalf of Agenda he works at the contents about Bologna for the monthly habits and society magazine E-Look published by B&P, Milano.

2008/ 2010 – On behalf of Agenda he produces the radio program “Le città invisibili” promoted by the Institution for inclusion “don Paolo Serra Zanetti” of the Municipality of Bologna.

1989/2014- From February 1989 he is the director in charge of the magazine HP (Accaparlante), bimonthly magazine about information on differences published by Center of Documentation on Handicap of Bologna, of which he is one of the founders.

2002/2014- He is in charge for the press office Emilia-Romagna of the on line agency of social information “Redattore Sociale”, published by Comunità di Capodarco (AP). From December 2007 the agency Redattore Sociale comes out in partnership with the press agency Dire, for the realization of the news bulletin Dires.

2000/ 2011 – On behalf of Agenda he holds contracts of collaboration with Kataweb, internet society of the group Repubblica – L'Espresso (Miojob, Metropoli, Espresso local).

2000/2007 – On behalf of Agenda he holds contracts with Manzoni ltd. for the realization of the free-press weekly newspaper Bologna&Bologna and of the monthly Set (2005).

2007/2008– On behalf of Agenda produces a bimonthly page about voluntary work and public sector for the daily newspaper “il Corriere di Rimini”.

2000/ 2011 - In cooperation with Dar Voce, Service Center for the voluntary work of Reggio Emilia, realizes a weekly page for the daily newspaper “La Gazzetta di Reggio” about voluntary work.

2002/2004 – On behalf of Agenda he is counselor at the Municipality of Bologna within the communication project “La città multietnica” of the Immigration Service.

1998/2002 – He is counselor at the Province of Bologna, Department of Work within a communication project. Particularly as Associated Journalists, takes care of the Ciop web site Ciop publication “Il nuovo obbligo. Una scuola e una formazione più grandi” published by the Province of Bologna and addressed to all the students of the post elementary schools. In 2002 plans and realizes with “Giornalisti Associati” the web site “Provincia Lavoro” and another one about school counseling.

2000 – He is counselor for Nomisma (Bologna), society for economic studies, press relationships.

1999 – Works as a political and reporter with “E'TV-Rete 7”.

1990/1999 – From 1990 to 1993, and from 1998 till the resignations in june 1999, he works as a journalist in the editorial staff of “L'Unità”, in Bologna, focalized on topics like politics, work affairs, social and public condition, volounteering. From September 1995 until December 1997 works as Bologna news editor at the daily newspaper “Mattina”.

1998/1999– Works in Milano at the press office of Unità to realize the biweekly insert bisettimanale “Metropolis” (periodical about the politics of the local institutions).

1997/1998 – From November ‘97 until August '98 takes care of the communication/advertisement plan and relationship with the media of the Horizon-project Eurotramp (European Project for research and training about Aids) managed by Ageform-Bologna. Realizes the video “Linguaggi in rete” together with the director Stefano Mazza.

1995 – On behalf of Ifg of Bologna and in cooperation with Region Emilia-Romagna, takes care of the TV broadcasting of social news "Positivo, videocronache dall'Emilia Romagna".

1994/1995 – He is correspondent from Emilia-Romagna for the agency Agl (local newspapers agency) of the group Finegil-L'Espresso.

1993/1995– He works as a reporter (with the title of ordinary editor) at the press office of Bologna of the daily newspaper “La Repubblica”.

2006/ 2011 – He is member of the association “Ilaria Alpi-Comunità Aperta” that promotes the homonymous international prize for journalists in Riccione (Rn). Since September 2008he is in the executive board.

2001– He is part of the Scientific Committee of Compa 2001, hall of communication for the public administration, Non profit sector.

2010/ 2014– He is part of the editorial staff of the street newspaper Piazza Grande, published by the association Amici di Piazza Grande (Bologna, Italy).

Journalistic prize “Luca Torrealta”

1993– Awarded as the winner of the first contest for journalists "Luca Torrealta", entitled to the bolognese journalist of the daily newspaper “il Manifesto” who died in September 1992. The report recommended by the Jury (composed by Stefano Benni, Daria Bonfietti, Fausto Pezzato and Michele Smargiassi) had been published on Unità and it was about Hiv and voluntary work.
