Graduated at the Faculty of Architecture of Pescara and from
1981 teaches and does research at the Faculty of Architecture of
Pescara and Faculty of Engineering of Padova and Bologna. From 2001
she is professor of Architecture and Urban Design at the
Faculty of Architecture “Aldo Rossi”, University of Bologna; from
2003 to 2005 she also taught at the Master of Architecture of
agricultural area in Politecnico di Milano and, from 2006, she
leaded the Summer School – International Workshop of
Architecture and Urban Design. She attended, at 1985, to
Biennale of Venezia with a project for Prato della Valle in Padova
and at 2006 edition, Città di pietra, with a project for the
Latomie dei Cappuccini in Siracusa (with R. Bonicalzi). She
published, among the others, La fondazione architettonica della
campagna. Uno studio sulla pianura bolognese, La
ricostruzione critica della città storica. Piano e progetto per la
riqualificazione dei centri storici, in addition to various work in
the magazines Parametro, Paesaggio Urbano e Inu; she actually
works on research study about architectural handbooks. She has
taken part in different competitions, among which, recently, the
project for a Library in Maranello; she has been working on several
projects, among them: the reorganization of the west area of Città
delle Colonie di Cesenatico, a residential district, the new
elementary school and the new council room in Monteveglio
(Bologna), projects for the railway station, for the area
previously used for the fair and for the new university campus of
Rimini and the project for a tertiary settlement in Crespellano
(Bologna) . She is coordinator of the research about the
architectural features of the areas of Emilia Romagna and takes
part in the national research about characteristics due to
Enlightenment in the cities of Emilia Romagna.
