PhD student (41st cycle) in Earth, Life, and Environmental Sciences (STVA). I use bioinformatics and phylogenomics to investigate genome evolution in zoology. My research focuses on Culicidae, spanning comparative genomics and population dynamics, with a particular emphasis on transposable elements, assessing their role in variability and speciation processes and linking genome architecture to phenotypes to understand their ecological and public-health implications. The project is supervised by Professor Andrea Luchetti.
I am also a teaching tutor for the course “Laboratory of Phylogenesis" (first year of the MSc in Biodiversity and Evolution)
