I am currently a PhD student here at the University of Bologna, with a Norwegian-based project in collaboration with the Geological Survey of Norway. I am undertaking a structural and petrophysical characterisation of fractured crystalline basement rocks. My PhD focuses on themes which include geodynamic processes, tectonic evolution, fluid-rock interaction, multiscale deformation, discrete fracture networks, and 3D modelling.
Previously, I have worked in Industry for 7-8 years in various parts of Africa as an exploration geologist; including West Africa with Nordgold and Barrick Gold/Randgold, and with Remote Exploration Services within Southern Africa. My previous work has involved both brownfields and greenfields exploration projects, frequently in remote areas, in a range of commodities and ore deposit styles (orogenic gold, base metals (primarily copper), and diamonds).
