Short Bio

Matteo Zauli is an Adjunct Professor in the Mechatronics degree program and a Research Fellow at the Intelligent Sensor System Lab. He completed his Ph.D. in Structural and Environmental Health Monitoring and Management (SEHM2) at the University of Bologna in January 2023. In March 2019, he graduated with honors in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bologna. He already had significant corporate work experience in the design and development of embedded systems and held a senior position as a member of an R&D team focused on designing intelligent systems based on microcontrollers.

Since June 2019, Matteo has been collaborating with the ARCES research center and other research institutions, with a particular emphasis on embedded systems and edge computing for monitoring applications in fields such as structural inspection, bioengineering, precision agriculture, and automotive.
