MD Specialist in Medical Oncology and PhD student at the University of Bologna since 2024, conducting research in the field of genitourinary cancers as part of the group led by Prof. F. Massari at the IRCCS Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Bologna. His research interests mainly focus on renal, urothelial, prostate, and testicular cancer, with a particular emphasis on the identification of biomarkers in renal cell carcinoma.
Education
Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2018 from the University of Siena with highest honors (110/110 cum laude). He completed his residency training in Medical Oncology at the University of Bologna, working as a Resident Medical Oncologist from 2019 to 2024 at the Medical Oncology Unit (Prof. Ardizzoni), IRCCS Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Bologna. During this period, he also undertook training rotations at the IRCCS Institute of Neurological Sciences – Bellaria Hospital, Bologna, and at the Seràgnoli Hospice Foundation, Bellaria Hospital, Bologna. In November 2024, he obtained his specialization in Medical Oncology with highest honors (110/110 cum laude), defending a thesis entitled “Exploring the prognostic value of chromosome 3p gene mutations in patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma treated with first-line immune-based combinations or tyrosine-kinase inhibitors.”
Since November 2024, he has been enrolled in the PhD program in Oncology, Hematology, and Pathology at the University of Bologna, with a project entitled “The role of molecular and histopathological features as prognostic or predictive biomarkers for immunotherapy in renal cell carcinoma.”
