My research focuses on the history of Graeco-Roman and Late Antique science, with particular attention to alchemy, medicine, and the chemical arts. I mainly deal with Graeco-Egyptian alchemical texts and their Syriac translations, Galen's treatises on pharmacology and Byzantine medical texts.
