Curriculum vitae

  • Matteo Di Vincenzo graduated cum laude in Medicine and Surgery from the "Agostino Gemelli" School of Medicine and Surgery at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, Italy, in March 2017.
  • Between 2022 and 2023, he was a Visiting Research Fellow at the School for Mental Health and Neuroscience of Maastricht University, the Netherlands.
  • In October 2023, he completed his residency in Psychiatry cum laude at the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" in Naples, Italy.
  • In January 2026, he obtained the PhD of National Interest on Public Administration and Innovation for Disability and Social Inclusion at the same university, receiving the final distinction of "Excellent" and of "Doctor Europaeus"
  • Since December 9, 2025, he has been a Researcher in Tenure-Track of Psychiatry at the Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences (DIBINEM), Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, where he conducts both research and teaching activities. He also serves as Consultant Psychiatrist, in affiliation with AUSL Bologna, at the Psychiatric Inpatient Unit of the Ospedale Maggiore.
  • Since May 2026, he has been qualified to serve as an Associate Professor under the Italian National Scientific Qualification system.
  • He is an active member of several national and international scientific societies, including the Italian Society of Psychiatry (SIP), the Italian Society of Social Psychiatry (SIPS), and the European Psychiatric Association (EPA). In recognition of his scientific achievements as an early-career researcher, he was awarded the EPA Scholarship for Early Career Psychiatrists at the 31st European Congress of Psychiatry, held in Paris in 2023.
  • His research focuses on psychosocial interventions, mental health promotion among vulnerable populations, neuroinflammation in affective disorders, and gene–environment interactions in subthreshold psychosis. He is the author of approximately 60 articles published in national and international peer-reviewed journals and 8 book chapters. His Scopus H-index is 15 (updated July 2026).
