Matteo Cianforlini

Matteo is a PhD Candidate in Political and Social Sciences at the University of Bologna. He holds a B.A. in International and Diplomatic Sciences and an M.A. in International Politics and Economics, both from the University of Bologna. Matteo is also a member of the European International Studies Association (EISA) Early Career Development (ECD) Group, where he helps organise events and seminars aimed at enhancing the skills and professional growth of early career researchers.

His research examines the evolving landscape of the international development finance regime, with a particular focus on the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the New Development Bank (NDB). His work explores how these institutions shape and challenge existing norms of global financial governance.
