Short Bio

As a PhD student at the University of Bologna since November 2023, Mathilde Joly conducts her research in the field of coastal adaptation governance with the CMCC under the supervision of Giulia Galluccio. She is part of the interdisciplinary doctoral program "Future Earth Climate Change and Societal Challenges." Her work focuses on the concept of resilience, informal organizations, social conflicts, complexity, and scales of time and space. Previously, she had a highly interdisciplinary education, with two master's degrees, one from Sciences Po Paris in International Environmental Policy and the other from the University of Bologna in Science and Management of Nature. She is also a member of the Collegio Superiore as part of the International PhD College.
