Activity of scientific research

Credit and Banking History: research is devoted to the complex network of credit institutions in early modern Bologna and aims at identifying long term shared ethical features, from the Monti di pietà to saving banks, to the more recent forms of ethical banks.

History of Corporate Finance: research is designed to explore the role of the regional Mediocredito in supporting the development of small and medium-sized firms in Emilia-Romagna during the 1950s and 1960s.

History of Fund Raising and Non Profit Organizations: current research studies the ethical motives of donors as well as how funding of Italian charitable agencies evolved between 1860 and the 1950s.

History of Education in relation to economic development
