1980-1981    Research fellow, Laboratoire de Pathologie Cellulaire, Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France

 

Positions and Employment

1973-1983: Assistant Faculty Member, Department of Experimental Pathology, University of Bologna,

1983-1986: Associated Professor of Clinical Pathology, University of Bologna,

1986-now: Full Professor of Clinical Pathology, University of Bologna.

 

Principal scientific activities and responsibilities

First the proponent focused its research mainly on the study of the structural-functional organization of mammalian cell nucleolus.  Then he was interested on the relationship between the nucleolus changes and cancer in tumor pathology. At the present time, he is studying the relationship between changes of ribosome biogenesis and tumorigenesis.
