Short Bio

 

Adjunct Professor and Research Fellow at the University of Bologna, Department of Interpreting and Translation (DIT), Forlì campus.

Her current research fellowship is entitled “Calligraphy and Graffiti in Contemporary China: A Focus on Socio-Political and Economic Aspects.”

On March 31, 2025, she completed her PhD, successfully defending her dissertation “Graffiti and Chinese Calligraphy: Looking for Identity in Fusion,” which investigates the relationship between calligraphy and graffiti in the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

She has long been actively engaged in the study of graffiti in Asia and, since 2021, has been a member of the research team for the European Research Council (ERC)-funded project “WRITE – New Forms of Calligraphy in China: A Contemporary Culture Mirror.”

She is co-author of the book I graffiti in Cina (1088press, 2022) and Graffiti in China (1088press, 2024), also available in an enhanced digital edition.
