Marta Obinu is a PhD candidate in Civil Law at Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna.
She graduated with honours in Law from the University of Bologna, discussing a thesis on pre-contractual liability from a comparative perspective. During her academic studies, she spent a period abroad at Trinity College Dublin, where she deepened her knowledge of European law, human rights, intellectual property law and media law.
She has gained judicial and institutional experience through a traineeship pursuant to Article 73 of Law Decree No. 69/2013 at the Court of Appeal of Bologna, a legal traineeship at the State Attorney’s Office in Bologna, and a traineeship at CONSOB – the Italian Securities and Exchange Commission, within the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board for Financial Disputes. She was also selected for a twelve-month traineeship at the Italian Competition Authority, in the area of competition and consumer protection.
She successfully passed the Italian Bar examination.
She is currently an external consultant to the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry into illegal activities related to the waste cycle and other environmental and agri-food offences.
