Her main research areas focused on women's labour
history, labour movement, social protest and social movements with
regard to the formation of political cultures in particular in
Italy and in Germany. Another field of research concerns the
formation and transformation processes of the public sphere and the
public communication in Europe during the XX century in relation to
social as well as technological changes. She recently oriented her research interests toward the use of public and private spaces along mobilization processes and, secondly, towards changes of political cultures in Italy and in Germany in the last two decades of the 20th century.
