Researcher and consultant in the field of tourism, with experience in fieldwork, teaching and the management of EU-funded projects. My work focuses on transnational cultural routes, territorial governance, sustainability monitoring, and the development of rural and community-based tourism. I hold a Ph.D. in Economic and Political Geography and a Master’s degree in Tourism Economics and Management from the University of Bologna. At the Centre for Advanced Studies in Tourism (CAST), I supported the management of EU projects on sustainable tourism and cultural routes, including BEST MED (Interreg), Fab Routes (Erasmus+), and rurAllure (H2020). Currently as a Research Fellow, I monitor EU funding opportunities and support the development of projects in sustainable cultural tourism, with a particular focus on sustainability measurement and the governance of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe.
