Maria Antonia Salomè

Maria Antonia Salomè holds a PhD in Design from the “Sustainability and Innovation for the Built Environment and Product System Design” programme at the University of Florence. Her NextGenerationEU-funded research under NPRR program investigates ecodesign strategies for the fashion system, with a focus on pre-consumer textile waste, zero-waste pattern cutting and circular fashion. She carried out a visiting research period at The Swedish School of Textiles, University of Borås (2024), and in 2026 was awarded a "Culture Moves Europe individual" mobility grant for the REWEAVE project. Her background combines fashion design, visual arts, sartorial training and Haute Couture pattern making. Go to the Curriculum vitae
