I graduated in Medicine and Surgery with a postgraduate specialization in Anesthesia, Reanimation, Intensive Care, and Pain Management at the University of Bologna. I work at the IRCCS AOU of Bologna, UOC Anestesiologia e Rianimazione Generale e Pediatrica as head of the professional assignment of highest professionalism development and multi-professional integration of translational research. Previously, I was responsible for coordinating activities of Pediatric Resuscitation. Areas of cultural and research focus include pediatric pain, palliative care, procedural and intensive care analgesia, and sedation. I am an active member of the leading National and International Scientific Societies SIAARTI, ESAIC, SARNePI, ESPNIC, and AMIETIP.
Nowadays, I am a member of the Steering Committee of the Italian Pediatric Intensive Care Therapies Network (TIPNet), the AMIETIP Scientific Committee, and the IPSE Group.
