Maria (Rosaria) Ferrante is Full Professor of Economic Statistics. Her first name is Maria, but almost everyone calls her by the middle name, Rosaria.
Her research focuses on small area estimation for socio-economic indicators (poverty, inequality, productivity, and consumption) and on economic well-being and life satisfaction.
Rosaria is involved in both national and international research collaborations and has published in international journals, including Computational Statistics & Data Analysis, Journal of Official Statistics, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society (Series A and C), Journal of Survey Statistics and Methodology, Regional Studies.
Rosaria served as Chair of the University Quality Assurance Board, University of Bologna, Expert of University Quality Assurance, member of the National Committee for the Scientific Qualification of Full and Associate Professors in Economic Statistics.
She is the Coordinator of the Sample Survey Group (S2G) of the Italian Statistical Society (SIS) and appointed by the Vice-Rector for International Relations as a member of the Board of Directors of the Fundación Observatorio PyME (FOP), Buenos Aires
