Curriculum vitae

Adjunct Professor at the University of Bologna since 2020, she carries out research in the field of museums at a European level.

Education

Degree in Philosophy from the University of Bologna (1982), Master's Degree in Museums and Galleries Administration from City University, London (1990).

She has attended numerous training and refresher courses on museology, museum management, cultural management and European projects.

Previous professional activities

1985-2021 Cultural Heritage Institute Emilia-Romagna Region

Responsible for European and international projects in the field of museums.

Main activities:

- Research: on cultural management and legislation on cultural heritage in Italy and Europe; on emerging professions in the museum field; analysis of training needs for the museum sector; on museum education and lifelong learning, on cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue

- Development of innovative projects and models for the improvement of museum management and services; identification of quality standards and accreditation schemes for museums and staff qualification; introduction of management models (EFQM) in the cultural field; development of innovative professional profiles

- Management of EU-funded and other major European projects, which have been recognised as best practice; of working groups and committees at national and international level

- Monitoring and evaluation of projects

- Design of training courses for museum professionals and cultural managers at national and international level; development of international training events for museologists

- Training and teaching of postgraduate students and professionals in cultural management, communication, museum education
